This week I was in the United States, Fort Myers. Where my uncle lives, I went there with all of my cousins. I got to practice much english, since I hung out with many people who spoke the language. My cousin’s friends didn’t speak Spanish, so I needed to speak in english if not all, most of the time. I also watched the game England Vs. United States with english narrators. This really got me in to practicing the language. I hope I have improved my agility to speak it, and extended my vocabulary widely during these days.
2nd Week
I spent most time of this week on Disneyland, more specifically on Islands Of Adventure. Besides it being fun, I actually practiced lots of english. Every time I was getting on a ride or asking for something, it was necessary to interpret fluid english. I found It difficult in some situations, but it mostly went well. This week was a real fun week and perhaps the most efficient on my english. I definitely think it was a nice experience to go through, I noticed it was more useful than watching movies or reading books, since you need to speak too.
3rd Week
The movie “Cop Out” is a really well made movie. It has a good action story, and at the same time its funny. It tells how two Cops, Jimmy Monroe and Paul Hodges, participate in a life threatening mission, that takes them to arresting a drug dealer called Juan Diaz. Since they were undercover while performing the mission, the criminal suspected about Paul, which was looking at him with no discretion. He started a shootout and an innocent was killed. The incident got them kicked out of work for a month, with no payment. Jimmy goes through bad times, since his daughter is marrying and he really needs the money. As trying to find other solutions, he figures out he could sell his old baseball card, which is worth lots of money. Unfortunately for him the card gets stolen, and he tries to find it through the whole movie. At the end he finds it but in a damaged state. Someone else pays the wedding, but at least he got to see his daughter marry, even though he couldn’t gift the payment.
4th Week
This week I saw the movie “Tooth Fairy” involving famous actor Dwayne Johnson as the main character. The mayor part of the movie contains fictional scenes. Dwayne’s character who acts out as “Derek Thompson” famous hockey player also nicknamed “tooth fairy”, is in love with Carly who has a teenage son called Randy, and a six year old girl called Tess. The movie’s main problem is when, Derek’s family was having dinner as usual, Tess looses a tooth. The famous hockey star decides to voluntarily reveal the truth to his six year old daughter, and tell her that there is no tooth fairy. Luckily for Tess, her mom Carly interrupts Derek before he says such a thing. After a small argument in dinner Thompson goes have some sleep, when suddenly he appears in the Tooth Fairy Kingdom, and wings spontaneously pop up in his back, he is given a duty from the fairy godmother, unfortunately for him he’ll be delivering money and retrieving tooth from kid’s pillows in the upcoming two weeks. Although that’s not all, Derek also has to keep it as a secret, this leads to several embarrassing moments with Derek’s hockey teammates and family throughout the story. This relatively is a punishment Derek has to accomplish for not believing and killing kid’s dreams. That is basically what the movie is about, it is a considerably good movie overall. 5th Week This week I saw the movie called “Chuck And Larry”, it is a hilarious movie. Even though I consider this movie’s script is somehow weird, it is extremely funny. It describes how two firefighters, obviously called Chuck And Larry, live throughout a whole series of events together. Larry was married and had a son and a daughter, unfortunately for him his wife died(No explanation how in the movie) and left him and his kids alone. Lawrence lives worried that since he is a firefighter,(which is a work involving highly life threatening risks) he might die at any time, and leave his kids alone without any pensions from the government for them being orphans. He waited too long after his wife died and now he is unable to make a deal for the pensions. Larry finds himself forced to marry again so that the pensions of his ex wife now belong to his future partner. However, between all this pensions deal, there is an issue, and its that Larry decides choosing his co-worker Chuck as his partner, and as time comes by they marry.
The unusual couple gets in big trouble with their work agency, as well as with their other co-workers. Consecutively they end up in court with a problem of people not believing they love each other, but at the end, Larry is able to make his dream come true, and fortunately obtains his pensions.
6th Week
Recently I saw the movie called “She’s Out Of My League”, it is a hilarious movie, with a comedy background. It explains how Kirk, an average normal guy, who works on an airport, is having a tough time going through his break up with his ex girlfriend Marnie. Although he tries to get back with Marnie, he is ignored and left begging. Although he did get a new girlfriend. Her name is Molly. Which is a better looking girl, and with a better attitude towards life than Marnie. Indeed Marnie notices this, and gets jealous. The movie is pretty much about Kirk’s romance with Molly, and his big life change. After a big fight they have at the end, he goes through a little turn down moment. As in the end they both reconcile, and en up happy as in most of the movies.

Yesterday I watched the movie “Avatar” the movie has a weird story, though highly interesting. It is about an ex military called Jake Sully, the army has a plan of traveling to this huge planet called Pandora. As they try to conquer it by exterminating every member of the “Na’vi” civilization which reigns in the planet. As the movie goes on, Jake gets in to this futuristic machine which can transform him on a Na’vi member, (these tall blue people, with a long tale). At the beginning he is working on the army’s side, but as he falls in love, and begins truly being in the civilization, he ends up in the Na’vi side. In the end Pandora’s people win the long lasting war, and militaries are sent back to earth, as only few of them are allowed to stay at Pandora.
8th Week
This week I saw the movie “Old Dogs”, the fact that its a “Disney” production, might say much about it. The movie has a comedy-drama story. Dan and his best friend Charlie work on the sport industry business. Luckily for them, a huge project is coming up, it is the work of their lives. This project will generate forty seven million dollars. In the other side is his ex-wife which has been arrested for two weeks, and her kids will be living with their father(Dan) the upcoming period of time until their mother is free again. Since Dan is divorced he hasn’t been able to meet Zack and Emily(which are his son and daughter). Due to that factor he has a tough time fitting in onto their lives. And that is pretty much what the movie is about, at the end Dan gets his family to love him but sadly fails on his big sport industry project.
